Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Kansas EMT Certification or eligibility required.
• CPR certification required.
• NREMT certification preferred.
• State Driver’s License required with a driving-record check.
• Pass Physical Ability Test (PAT) required.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient assessment, determine required care, and deliver emergency medical services.
• Document patient information, condition and treatment while maintaining confidentiality and patient rights.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and stocked environment for patients.
• Utilize EMT skills—communications, equipment use, and procedures—in patient care.
• Operate an ambulance in compliance with safety policies and traffic laws.
• Collaborate with allied health and public safety personnel as part of a team.

Education
