Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Recognizes and evaluates medical emergencies and initiates differential diagnoses.
• Performs physical examinations.
• Provides emergency therapy to stabilize life-threatening presentations.
• Addresses medical and emotional needs of trauma patients to reduce morbidity.
• Ensures quality patient-care per Company standards.
• Documents patient information and care for hospital and billing records.
• Communicates with on-duty physicians to obtain treatment orders.
• Follows standard written protocols when a physician cannot be contacted.
• Transports ill and injured to care facilities.
• Operates emergency vehicles in a safe manner.
• Documents patient statistics and medical information forms.
• Assists in technical rescues and extrication.
• Adheres to Company policies and procedures.
