Job summary

CORE Occupational Medicine in Oakland City, IN is seeking an experienced Emergency Medical Technician (EMT-B) or Paramedic for a PRN position at the Oakland City site. You will respond to emergencies, provide basic medical support, and work with site personnel to maintain a safe work environment.

This role requires EMT or paramedic certification, CPR/AED, 1st response experience preferred, and strong interpersonal skills to coordinate with clients and healthcare providers.

Qualifications

• EMT or paramedic state certification and/or National Registry; must provide proof of reciprocity
• 1st response/EMS experience preferred
• Current First Aid/CPR/AED certification; additional certifications are a plus
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with client and employees

Responsibilities

• Responding to emergencies efficiently and promptly
• Administering basic first aid and medical support to patients in accordance with policy and regulations
• Assessing nature and extent of injuries/illnesses to prioritize medical procedures
• Communicating with medical professionals and treatment facilities for instructions
• Communicating with client and site personnel regarding incidents, hazards, etc.
• Demonstrating teamwork and adaptability to changing worksite environments
• Ensuring quality, clinical standards are practiced at all times
• Documenting findings and treatments clearly and concisely
• Maintaining a helpful, dignified professional demeanor under stress
• Assisting Site Safety Managers in maintaining a safe work environment
