Job summary

LIFEwest Ambulance in California is seeking EMTs to respond to emergent and non-emergent calls, deliver patient-centered care, and maintain professional conduct within the EMT scope. Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• California EMT certification with current credentials.
• CPR/BLS certification maintained in good standing.
• Valid California driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Ambulance Driver Certificate and DL51 certificate holders preferred.
• Ability to maintain all required certifications throughout employment.

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergency and non-emergency calls for service per policies and protocols.
• Provide high-quality patient care within EMT scope and under medical control.
• Safely assess, treat, monitor, and transport patients.
• Operate ambulance equipment and vehicles safely and professionally.
• Ensure readiness of medical equipment, supplies, and vehicles.
• Complete thorough, accurate patient care documentation.
• Maintain compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with field partners, dispatch, and healthcare professionals.
• Mentor peers and demonstrate professional conduct and communication.
• Identify quality improvement opportunities and participate in initiatives.
• Maintain certifications, licenses, and required documentation.
