Job summary

Clay County Hospital Inc. is seeking a full-time EMT-B to provide essential care in the ER and pre-hospital settings. You will work with ER physicians, paramedics, EMTs and RNs, following IL EMS Acts and Region 5 regulations.

The position offers varying shift coverages and starts at $19.83/hour with experience-based increases and weekend differentials. Qualifications include a high school diploma and a current EMT-B license with IL EMT, ACLS, PALS, CPR, BLS, ITLS or PHTLS.

Qualifications

• High school diploma with specialized EMT-B training.
• Current EMT-B license with State of IL EMT and certifications (ACLS, PALS, CPR, BLS, ITLS or PHTLS).

• Provide basic care and comfort measures for patients in ER and pre-hospital settings.

Job description

Provides a variety of basic care needs and comfort measures for patients in the ER and in the pre-hospital setting, adhere to the State of IL EMS Systems Act (210 ILCS50) as well as any applicable EMS Region 5 regulations and policies. Works with ER Physician, paramedic, EMT and RN staff.

This is a full-time role with varying shift coverages and pay begins at $19.83 and increases with experience. Shift differentials of 6/9% as are applicable as well as $3 per hour for weekend shift differential. Position will be open for applications until October 18th.

Education required: high school diploma plus specializing training and a current EMT-B license with State of IL EMT, ACLS, PALS, CPR, BLS, ITLS or PHTLS.
