Job summary

Join Parachute in Charleston, IL as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT-B / EMT-A). You will oversee donor health and safety and support the donor experience within a lean, high-growth center team.

Responsibilities include health screenings, supervising safety, collaborating with staff, and maintaining logs; cross-training across center functions and the potential for advancement and increased pay through added responsibilities.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years old.
• High school diploma, GED or higher.
• Certified/licensed EMT in the state of employment.
• Current BLS or CPR certification.
• Able to lift 50 pounds and stand or sit for extended periods.
• Ability to work weekends, regularly or as needed.

Responsibilities

• Monitor donor eligibility and safety; perform health screenings and physical exams.
• Respond to donor reactions and provide care as needed.
• Work collaboratively with all center staff.
• Manage health logs and test results with clinical oversight.
• Keep exam rooms clean, stocked, and compliant.
• Cross-trained in all center functions including phlebotomy, processing bottles, and station installation.
