Job summary

South Shore Health System seeks an EMT-B ambulance technician for on-site coverage in Weymouth, MA. You will respond to dispatched calls, provide basic pre-hospital care, and perform documentation and vehicle readiness tasks. You will cooperate with ED staff and EMS partners while maintaining professional conduct.

Qualified candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent, 1 year EMT experience, and current EMT-B/ACLS/BLS certifications. A valid MA driver's license is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum education: High School diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum work experience: One year EMT experience preferred.
• Licenses/certifications: EMT-B or higher, ACLS/BLS as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Responds promptly to non-emergent and emergency calls as directed by the dispatcher.
• Completes documentation and records per department policy.
• Ensures vehicle and equipment are ready for response at all times.
• Renders pre-hospital care at EMT-B level following protocols.
• Performs duties in the Emergency Department under ED physicians.
• Maintains professional relationships with hospital staff and other EMS providers.
