Job summary

Monroe Ambulance in Rochester, NY, is hiring EMT-Bs to join a community-focused team. New York State EMT certification holders or newly certified applicants are welcome; full-time roles with starting pay of $20.00 per hour, plus differential for overnight and swing shifts.

Comprehensive health, dental, vision, 401(k), and generous PTO are provided. You will respond to calls, transport patients, maintain equipment, and follow protocols to ensure safety and high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Meet New York State functional position for EMT/AEMT.
• Communicate effectively in a professional manner.
• Lift, carry and balance up to 125 pounds (250 pounds with assistance).
• Read English language and manuals.
• Navigate major arterial roadways and understand major medical facilities.
• Interview patients, families, and bystanders.

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality, compassionate patient care per NYS protocols.
• Check equipment readiness and ensure ambulance is operable.
• Ensure cleanliness and organization of ambulance and gear.
• Complete patient care records and incident reports accurately.
• Adhere to Monroe Ambulance safety policies and code of conduct.
