Job summary

MMT Ambulance is seeking compassionate EMTs to join our growing emergency medical services team in Ashland, Ohio. You will provide direct patient care during ambulance transports, perform safety and equipment checks, and help maintain station readiness while upholding the highest standards of clinical excellence and compassion.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Current EMT certification.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 125 lbs and work in demanding environments.

Responsibilities

  • Administer basic life support within EMT scope.
  • Operate and maintain EMS vehicles in compliance with laws.
  • Provide direct patient care during ambulance transports.
  • Document information accurately in charting system.
  • Assist EMS providers and prepare comprehensive reports.
  • Maintain equipment and restock supplies.
  • Adhere to company policies and protocols.

Make a difference with us!As an EMT you are an integral part of the primary care team during ambulance transports. You are responsible for providing direct patient care, medical transport, performing equipment checks and maintenance, as well as handling station upkeep and housekeeping duties, along with other related tasks as needed.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Primary duty is administering basic life support treatments within the EMT scope.Safely operating and maintaining emergency vehicles in compliance with laws.Delivering competent patient care in various settings.Applying EMS procedures in practical situations.Interacting professionally with healthcare personnel.Documenting information accurately in our charting system.Assisting fellow EMS providers and providing comprehensive reports.Maintaining equipment, ensuring cleanliness, and restocking supplies.Adhering to company and local agency policies and protocols.Demonstrating a clean appearance and professional, ethical behavior.Maintain clear and consistent communications with the Dispatch CenterMay be required to administer first aid to injured coworkers when necessary.Qualifications:High school diploma or GED equivalent requiredCurrent EMT certificationValid driver’s license and good driving recordCurrent CPRGood communication and interpersonal skillsPhysical Demands:Ability to safely operate EMS vehicles and essential equipmentBend, sit, kneel, and lift up to 125 lbs; push/pull objects over 50 lbsMaintain physical agility for safe patient handling in demanding environmentsTolerate extended periods of driving or riding in an ambulancePerform effectively in physically strenuous and emotionally challenging situationsOther Duties:Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
