Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health partners with approved NJ EMS training centers to provide an entry point into the healthcare field as an Emergency Medical Technician. Candidates will be paid to attend the EMT program, and tuition and books are covered.

While in the program, orientation and onboarding to Hackensack Meridian Health begin. After successful completion and passing the NREMT, candidates commit to at least two years of full-time EMT employment.

• Valid Driver's License from a USA state required.
• Must be able to meet physical demands of the role (lifting up to 100 pounds) as described in Working Conditions.

Hackensack Meridian Health (HMH) is partnering with approved NJ EMS training centers to provide an opportunity for individuals looking to enter the healthcare field as an Emergency Medical Technician. Candidates of this role will be paid to attend the program. The cost of tuition and books will also be covered. While the program is in session, students will have the opportunity to begin their Hackensack Meridian Health orientation and onboarding. Upon successful completion of the EMT program and NREMT examination, candidates will commit to a minimum of two years of employment at Hackensack Meridian Health as a full-time EMT.

Upon successful completion of the EMT program and NREMT examination, candidates will commit to a minimum of two years of full-time employment as an EMT with Hackensack Meridian Health.

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

• High School diploma, general equivalency diploma (GED), and/or GED equivalent programs.

Licenses and Certifications Required:

• Valid Driver's License from a USA state.
