Northeastern Health System is seeking a PRN Paramedic/EMT to administer life support in pre-hospital settings under medical control in Tahlequah, OK. This role emphasizes patient care, rapid assessment, and documentation within established protocols.
required EMT-Basic and EMT-Advanced licensure (OK), EVOC training, and a willingness to engage in ongoing education and quality improvement activities. Excellent collaboration with emergency services and hospital teams is essential.
Administers life support care to the sick and injured in a pre-hospital setting as authorized by written protocol and directed by medical control in performing the following duties.
Maintains established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance program, safety, environmental and infection control standards.
Provides emergency health services to infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients, using the knowledge/skills unique to the requirements of each age group to ensure optimal patient care with direct supervision.
Prepares written documentation as required by the profession and the department.
Assists with care and maintenance of department equipment and supplies.
Enhances professional growth, and development through participation in educational programs, current literature, inservice meetings, and workshops.
Assists in establishing quality levels and standards.

Develops relationships with community agencies, groups, and professional affiliations as appropriate.
Attends meetings as required, and participates on committees as directed.
Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
Minimum Education- Minimum of a high school diploma or general education degree (GED)
Required Course(s)/Training- E.V.O.C. training
Required Certification/Registration- Completion of EMT-Basic and EMT-Advanced (Intermediate) level programs utilizing D.O.T. National Standard CurriculumMust have a current EMT-Advanced (or Intermediate) license from the Oklahoma State Department of Health/EMS Division
Preferred Experience- One to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred, but not required
