Job summary

MMT Ambulance in Henderson, NC is hiring full-time Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) to operate on a 24/72 schedule, providing BLS and patient care across interfacility transports.

You will drive and maintain EMS vehicles, apply EMS protocols, document care, and collaborate with healthcare teams. Candidates must hold EMT certification, a HS diploma, a valid license, and be able to lift up to 125 lbs.

Qualifications

• Current EMT certification (state-specific requirements apply).
• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Physical ability to lift up to 125 lbs and perform demanding patient handling.
• Willingness and ability to work 24-hour shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic life support within the EMT scope of practice.
• Safely operate and maintain emergency vehicles in accordance with state and local regulations.
• Deliver competent, compassionate patient care in a variety of transport and clinical settings.
• Apply EMS protocols and procedures effectively in practical situations.
• Communicate professionally with patients, families and healthcare personnel.
• Document patient care accurately in our electronic charting system.
• Assist fellow EMS providers and provide thorough handoff reports.
• Maintain equipment, ensure vehicle cleanliness, and restock supplies.
• Demonstrate ethical conduct and commitment to patient care and safety.
