HCA Florida St. Lucie Hospital is seeking an Emergency Department Paramedic to join our ED team. You will deliver skilled, timely care, gather critical details, and collaborate with ED staff to ensure smooth handoffs and high-quality patient outcomes.

You will monitor vital signs, document clearly, and provide treatments, tests, medications, and therapies within your scope, responding rapidly in emergencies and maintaining a safe, organized environment for patients.

Qualifications

• BCLS/Basic Life Support certification required within 30 days of start date.
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention certification required within 90 days of start date.
• EMT (State) Emergency Medical Technician certification required.

Responsibilities

• Stay in continuous communication with providers, nurses, and EMS to ensure seamless handoffs and coordinated care.
• Monitor vital signs, document clearly, and deliver treatments with precision.
• Perform tests, administer medications, and therapies within your scope.
• Respond rapidly in emergencies and help manage pain.
• Keep patient areas safe and organized by managing equipment and hazards.

Job Summary and Qualifications

As an Emergency Department (ED) Paramedic, you’ll be a crucial member of the emergency team, delivering skilled, timely care when every second counts. You’ll use your expertise and quick decision-making to gather critical details, perform treatments safely, and maintain a safe, dignified environment for every patient. Your collaboration with ED personnel will keep care moving smoothly and directly impact patient outcomes.

• Perform tests, administer medications, and administer therapies and interventions confidently within your scope

• Respond rapidly in emergencies, identify patient needs early and help manage pain

• Keep patient areas safe and organized by managing equipment and addressing any potential hazards

What qualifications you will need:

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date

• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date

• (EMT-State) Emergency Medical Technician Required
