Job summary

Global Medical Response in Las Vegas, NV is hiring Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) for full-time shifts to respond to emergency and non-emergency requests and deliver high-quality care and customer service.

Responsibilities include patient assessment, documenting information, operating in ambulances, and collaborating with public safety personnel; applicants must have Nevada EMT license, BLS, and be able to pass agility tests.

Las Vegas, Nevada

We’re hiring Emergency Medical Technicians (EMT)s that will respond to emergency and non‑emergency requests for medical assistance and deliver high‑quality care, treatment and customer service to patients.

Responsibilities
  • EMTs provide an assessment of patients, determine necessary care and deliver emergency services by utilizing appropriate medical techniques and equipment.
  • Document patient information, condition and treatment while maintaining confidentiality and patient rights.
  • Take pride in providing a safe, clean, and well‑stocked environment for patients.
  • Use appropriate EMT skills to provide care including communications, medical equipment, cleaning procedures, office equipment and tools.
  • EMTs operate an ambulance in conjunction with applicable company safety policies, and traffic laws related to the operation of emergency medical response vehicles.
  • Work collaboratively and in a professional manner with all allied health and public safety personnel as well as your fellow EMTs.
Other Responsibilities
  • Participate in community programs to maintain AMR image and establish strong community relations.
Minimum Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • Nevada State EMT License
  • State Driver's License
  • BLS, NREMT
  • Driving record compliant with company policy
  • Pass Physical Agility Test
Preferred Qualifications
  • Related experience in healthcare
Working Conditions and Mental/Physical Requirements

Working Conditions: Available to work days, nights, weekends and holidays, extended workdays. Long periods inside the ambulance. Must work indoors or outdoors with exposure to weather. Possible routine exposure to moderate noise levels. May periodically work in poorly lit environments in a moving vehicle.

Physical Demands: Moderate to extended amounts of sitting, standing, and walking. Some repetitive motion activities. Routinely lifting more than 200 lbs. with assistance. Pushing, pulling, reaching, lifting, bending, squatting, kneeling, twisting, carrying, typing and stair climbing. Visual identification of color‑coded items. Must be able to wear a face mask or respirator with proper fit for extended periods when required.

Mental Requirements: Must have critical thinking skills with the ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems. Must be able to manage fatigue, high pressure, exposure to stressful situations.
