Job summary

Regional Health Services in Cresco, IA is seeking an EMT to join our hospital-based advance care ambulance team. You will perform life-sustaining procedures and provide immediate emergency care and transport under medical control.

Eligible candidates hold Iowa EMT certification, BLS/CPR, a valid driver's license, Hazmat training, and ICS 100/200. This PRN role requires readiness to work as needed and stay compliant with state EMS standards.

Qualifications

• Current EMS certification from the State of Iowa.
• BLS (CPR) certified or obtained within 3 months of employment.
• Valid driver's license.
• Hazmat training within 1 year of onboarding.
• Completion of IC 100 and IC 200 within 3 months of employment.

Position Highlights

POSITION SUMMARY: Performs specialized life sustaining procedures in a hospital-based advance care ambulance service. Responsible for providing immediate emergency care and transport of the critically ill or injured under direction of medical control physician. Has successfully completed, as a minimum, the United States Department of Transportation's Emergency Medical Technician-Ambulance curriculum, passed the department's approved written and practical examinations and is currently certified as an EMT.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

• Current EMS certification from the State of Iowa.
• BLS (CPR) certified or obtained within 3 months of employment.
• Valid driver's license
• Current operational level Hazmat training within 1 year of onboarding.
• Successful completion of IC 100 and IC 200 within 3 months of employment
