Job summary

Avel eCare is seeking a Senior Consultant to lead the EMS service line, overseeing in-ambulance telehealth equipment and the clinical services delivered through it. The role is hybrid with regular on-site time in the Sioux Falls, SD office.

You will own EMS technical expertise, drive day-to-day operations, strengthen our vendor model, and advance the software roadmap, delivering a repeatable vendor and support framework that improves client outcomes.

Qualifications

• Hands-on technical lead who can own the full stack — hardware, software, and implementation.
• Working knowledge of AV and video equipment including 12-volt wiring and schematics.
• Vendor sourcing, evaluation, and contract management.
• Hands-on troubleshooting of installed equipment and software.
• Comfortable writing requirements and working directly with developers.

As the Senior Consultant leading Avel eCare's EMS service line, you will oversee in-ambulance telehealth equipment and the clinical telehealth services delivered through it. You will own EMS technical expertise, drive day-to-day technical operations, strengthen our vendor model, and advance the software roadmap. Your ultimate impact will be a documented, well-supported EMS line running on a repeatable vendor and support model.

Location: Hybrid, with regular on-site time in Sioux Falls, SD office

Reports To: Chief Information Officer

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Hands-on technical lead who can own the full stack — hardware, software, and implementation — and keep the pieces moving together.
• Working knowledge of AV and video equipment including 12-volt wiring and schematics, with the drive to close knowledge gaps using internal teams and vendor support (preferred).
• Vendor sourcing, evaluation, and contract management.
• Hands-on troubleshooting of installed equipment and software.
• Comfortable writing requirements and working directly with developers.
