Qualifications

• Licensed as WV Paramedic and NR EMT-AEMT/Paramedic.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, statistics, quality, healthcare or related field.
• Certification and experience as an EMS Instructor.
• Patient Safety or Healthcare Quality Certification (or obtained within 2 years).

Responsibilities

• Review EMS reports for accuracy and policy compliance.
• Conduct case reviews and evaluations of 911 communications.
• Monitor EMS system and personnel to provide patient care feedback.
• Design quality assurance/quality improvement methodologies.
• Analyze CAD data to determine trends in response time and resource use.
• Update training based on reviews and findings.
• Assist with education, new hire classes, and training programs.
• Collaborate with Medical Directors and leadership for clinical improvements.
• Liaise with stakeholders for clinical concerns.
• Assist in research including data collection and reporting.
• Review and update patient care guidelines and procedures.
• Conduct compliance audits for WV OEMS standards of care.
• Present evidence-based indicators to measure quality outcomes.
• Develop dashboards, scorecards, and reports for quality metrics.
• Investigate sentinel events and patient safety concerns.
• Maintain HIPAA/privacy of all information.
• Perform data collection and analysis with charts/infographics.
