Job summary

Aspen Technology invites energized students to join the EMS Power Systems Engineering internship at our Digital Grid Management HQ in Medina, MN. You’ll work on real projects applying Power Flow, Contingency Analysis, State Estimator, and related tools to help utilities operate the grid safely and reliably.

The program is paid, offers flexible hours, and may lead to full-time employment after successful completion.

Qualifications

• Pursuing BS in Electrical Engineering with focus on Power Systems.
• Coursework or interest in power systems, electric circuits, or energy systems.
• Strong organization, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to thrive in a challenging environment and deliver innovative solutions.

Responsibilities

• Assist with configuration and testing of EMS/ADMS applications for deployments.
• Support power system modeling and data validation activities.
• Develop scripts/tools to automate testing and data analysis workflows.
• Create documentation and training materials for power systems applications.
• Participate in customer meetings and learn project delivery processes.
