Florence County is seeking a seasoned Crew Chief to oversee emergency medical services, ensuring timely care and safe transport for ill or injured patients. You will supervise the crew, operate the ambulance and equipment, and collaborate with dispatch and hospital staff to deliver high-quality EMS.

Requirements include SC paramedic certification, ACLS/CPR credentials, and 1–2 years EMS experience. The role demands physical capability and a commitment to patient privacy and station readiness.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old at time of hire.
• Requires high school diploma or GED.
• Requires National/South Carolina paramedic certification with 1–2 years EMS experience or equivalent.
• Valid South Carolina driver’s license with acceptable driving history.
• CPR and ACLS credentials required at hire.
• Must pass pre-employment examinations.

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergency calls, provide treatment, and transport to facilities.
• Assess patient condition and determine the proper course of action.
• Operate ambulance and life-saving equipment for safe transport.
• Provide advanced life support and monitor patient status.
