Job summary

Erickson Senior Living at Lantern Hill in New Providence, NJ is seeking a Security and Emergency Services Officer II (EMR/EMT) to implement security and emergency services programs and engage with the community.

The role involves regular patrols, gatehouse relief, responding to calls, enforcing regulations, handling medical emergencies, and filing detailed incident reports. Per diem schedule, compensation $19.00–$23.00 per hour, plus $1/hour with EMT certification.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.
• Prior experience in Security and/or Emergency Medical Services is preferred.
• Current CPR for Healthcare Providers certification is required.
• Current Emergency Medical Responder certification; higher level accepted with obligation to obtain EMR within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Perform regular patrols of the property and provide relief staffing for the gatehouse.
• Respond to emergency and routine calls for service.
• Enforce all traffic and parking regulations.
• Respond to medical emergencies and provide efficient care using basic interventions.
• Complete thorough incident reports using the online system.
