Job summary

ReDiscover is seeking a Substance Use Disorder Counselor to join the CPRC program in Missouri. The role involves maintaining a diverse caseload, delivering high-quality clinical assessments, and coordinating integrated care for individuals affected by mental illness or substance use.

You will provide individual and group therapies, identify appropriate interventions, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support recovery and community functioning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a Social Science field is required.
• Certified or registered as a Substance Use Disorder Professional by the Missouri Credentialing Board (CADC/CRADC/CRAADC or other MO credentials).
• Active Professional Counselor license (LPC/PLPC) or LMSW/LCSW preferred.
• Two years of direct service experience in a mental health setting.
• Working knowledge of mental illness and substance use disorders.
• Excellent customer service with a recovery focus.
• Strong written, oral and interpersonal communication skills.
• Intermediate computer skills: Word, Excel, and email.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and interact with a caseload of clients in-person or by phone.
• Conduct high quality clinical assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Identify and provide clinical interventions and referrals based on client needs.
• Empower clients to build skills and support systems for community functioning.
• Assess progress and address emergent needs clinically.
• Conduct individual and group education and therapies in the Substance Use Disorder program.
• Engage difficult-to-serve clients to gain access and connections.
• Document interactions in the designated electronic medical record and coordinate care with the internal team.
