Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• Graduate Degree preferred.
• Teaching experience required, including in Special Education.

Responsibilities

• Develop IDEA mandated modifications and accommodations for students with special needs.
• Provide direct instruction and instructional support to students with exceptional learning needs.
• Collaborate with general education teachers and monitor IEP outcomes.
• Plan and deliver instruction aligned to grade-level standards and present levels of performance.
• Write and implement IEPs with input from students, parents, and teachers.
• Deliver instruction individually or in small groups and track progress with data.
• Support development of behavior intervention plans and maintain high behavioral expectations.
• Engage families in progress discussions and IEP decisions.
• Participate in school learning community, professional development, and weekly planning sessions.
