The Harris Center for Mental Health and IDD in Houston seeks a Peer Navigator to assist peers in identifying needs and connecting them with social services and agency resources.

You will work within an interdisciplinary team, maintain data records, and support empowerment through self-advocacy, while upholding privacy and ethical standards.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED, certification as a Peer Specialist or enrollment within a year, and a valid Texas driver's license.

Qualifications

• Must have High School Diploma or GED.
• Certified Peer Specialist or equivalent, or must become certified within 1 year.
• Self-identify as a user of Mental Health Services with no crisis services in past year.

Responsabilités

• Engages in face-to-face contact with peers to assess needs and provide support.
• Participates as a member of the interdisciplinary team and communicates with staff.
• Provides information on community and Agency resources.
• Encourages attendance at consumer meetings and self-advocacy.
