Job summary

Chugach Government Solutions (CGS) seeks a part-time on-call instructor in the South Bronx to provide academic and career instruction aligned with approved curricula. You will join the training team to coordinate instruction and support students’ academic and social development in line with government, corporate, and contract directives.

The role emphasizes following lesson plans, documenting progress, and preparing students for career success while maintaining a safe, respectful learning

Qualifications

• Mandatory: High school diploma or GED.
• Excellent written and communication skills.
• Background check and drug test required on the contract.
• Current, valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Provide academic instruction in classrooms, GED/HSD classrooms, and Driver’s Education.
• Motivate and counsel students in behavior, training, and study habits.
• Coordinate with team members to resolve issues affecting student training.
• Follow lesson plans from instructors; develop and prepare lessons as needed.
• Prepare required documentation and evaluations.
• Administer and correct tests and assignments; maintain progress and attendance reports.
• Maintain safety and a conducive learning environment and workplace.
