Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience assessing and treating ADLs/IADLs.

Responsibilities

• Address client’s performance to support engagement in occupations affecting health and life quality.
• Select and adapt the appropriate OT treatment model and approach for interventions.
• Apply interventions to maximize safety and performance in ADLs and IADLs.
• Teach clients new ways of approaching tasks and break down activities into achievable steps.
• Assess client’s home and environments and advise on alterations.
• Recommend adaptive equipment and train in its use.
• Educate family members and caregivers.
• Observe, document, and report progress toward goals.
• Collect data and document processes followed.
