Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a Learning Behavior Specialist I (LBS1) endorsement.
• Demonstrate strong classroom management and positive behavior supports.
• Ability to differentiate instruction for diverse student needs.
• Experience collaborating with families and school staff to support IEP goals.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized instruction aligned to Illinois Learning Standards and IEPs.
• Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in accordance with federal/state requirements.
• Deliver developmentally appropriate early literacy, math, and communication instruction.
• Differentiate instruction and implement accommodations and interventions per IEPs.
• Collaborate with general education teachers in inclusive settings.
• Collect and analyze student performance data to monitor IEP progress.
• Participate in IEP meetings and related student support meetings.
• Maintain confidentiality and professional standards under FERPA.
