Squires Elementary in Lexington, Kentucky is seeking an Instructional Paraeducator to support a certified teacher with individual and small group instruction. You will monitor student progress, assist with lesson preparation, behavior tracking and safety in classrooms and labs.

The role requires at least 48 college credit hours or equivalent, and experience with youth in school settings. Part-time, hourly pay ranges from $17 to $25.53, with a typical 183-day calendar and duties including

Qualificações

• Minimum 48 college credit hours or successful completion of the Kentucky Paraeducator Assessment or completion of an Associate's Degree
• Experience working with youth in an organized setting and some instructional experience in a classroom environment with children and parents of diverse needs

Responsabilidades

• Tutor individuals or small groups and monitor progress.
• Participate as a member of an instructional team and communicate with parents.
• Transport students to activities and assist with preparation.
• Prepare and organize lessons and administer tests per guidelines.
• Monitor and report student behavior and progress.
• Perform routine clerical duties and maintain attendance records.
• Support the teacher by setting up work areas and distributing supplies.
• Assist in lab supervision and activity oversight.
• Communicate with teachers to meet student needs.
• Maintain health and safety of students.
