The teacher will design engaging lessons, maintain classroom order, assess student progress, and collaborate with staff on improving school performance while using district technology and data to inform instruction.

Qualifications

• State of Michigan Teacher Certification
• MX, MA and a MB Endorsement

Responsibilities

• Develops lesson plans and provides individualized and small-group instruction to adapt curriculum to student needs.
• Translates lesson plans into learning experiences to maximize instructional time.
• Establishes and maintains standards of student behavior for an effective classroom environment.
• Evaluates student growth and maintains records, reports, and documentation.
• Maintains classroom records using district technology.
• Communicates with parents regularly about curriculum, assessments, and student progress.
• Collaborates with colleagues to address social, emotional, and academic student needs.
• Administers standardized and local assessments.
• Provides a nurturing and supportive learning environment with high expectations.
• Participates in school improvement initiatives and committees.
• Plans instruction aligned with Michigan Department of Education guidance and district programs.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
