Education Jobs NJ is assisting John Fenwick Academy in recruiting a SPECIAL EDUCATION TEACHER for a 10-month tenure. The role requires NJ instructional certification with Special Education endorsement or eligibility and experience developing and implementing IEPs.

Qualifications

Valid New Jersey Instructional Certification and appropriate Special Education Endorsement or eligibility.
Minimum experience as determined by the board.
Demonstrates knowledge of effective teaching methods and ability to maintain a positive learning environment.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Required criminal history background check and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status.

Responsibilities

Provides instruction to classified pupils in accordance with each pupil's IEP.
Develops lesson plans and provides individualized/small group instruction.
Sets objectives in lesson plans and delivers instruction to meet those objectives.
Coordinates with regular education staff and monitors pupil progress; provides support in classroom or resource center.
Maintains pupil progress records and reports.
