DSPs support emotional, physical, and personal well-being, using effective communication to build trust and collaboration with consumers and their families. You will help implement individualized plans, monitor progress, and maintain documentation while respecting privacy and rights.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience working with persons with disabilities preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and dependable transportation required.

Responsibilities

• Assist consumers to develop strategies, make informed choices and follow through on responsibilities.
• Promote consumer partnership in the design of support services.
• Provide opportunities for consumers to be self‑advocates by encouraging and assisting the consumer to speak on his or her own behalf.
