Job summary

Albertina Kerr is seeking a caregiver to support adults with disabilities in group home settings in Oregon City. You will assist with medications, daily living activities, cooking, dressing and personal care while promoting independence and safety for residents.

The role involves transportation, community visits, and collaboration with families and medical staff. A compassionate, flexible team player with a valid driver's license is preferred, with training provided.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 18 years old.
• Ability to lift, push and pull 50 pounds.
• Knows basic cooking skills and willing to learn new recipes.
• Knows basic cleaning skills.
• Preference for applicants who can work at least one weekend day.
• Must meet background check and driving record requirements.

Responsibilities

• Help with medications, cooking, dressing, personal hygiene and cleaning.
• Provide high-quality personal care.
• Drive to transport people, run errands, or other business as assigned.
• Communicate professionally with family, professionals and others.
• Learn and follow Behavior Support Plans; perform nursing tasks as trained by a Nurse.
• Monitor vital signs and general health; observe concerns and report them.
