Job summary

Our Lady’s Inn Inc. in St. Louis, MO seeks a Client Advocate to provide advocacy and case management for clients in the residential program.

The role includes continued case management, resource referral, and general support, with a commitment to the agency’s pro-life mission. The Advocate builds therapeutic relationships, orients new clients, and collaborates with staff to develop Person-Centered Plans and secure needed resources.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in social work, counseling, or related field.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• 5+ years in social services with direct client interaction.
• Trauma-informed care experience a plus.
• Experience with unhoused populations is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform intake assessment and orient new clients.
• Enter client data in HMIS and Life Force databases.
• Coordinate in-house class schedules with clients’ schedules and needs.
• Establish and maintain a therapeutic relationship with clients.
• Develop Person-Centered Plans with client goals and self-sufficiency.
• Provide input on plans, including progress and resource needs.
• Conduct case management assessment and document transition plans.
• Record case management activity for each client.
• Monitor client attendance at work, school, or programs.
• Coordinate with the Child Advocate on support plans for clients’ children.
• Oversee completion of client daily duties and inspect rooms for cleanliness and safety.
• Work with staff as a team member and represent OLI in the community.
• Assist clients with transportation to appointments and accompany them.
• Assist with duties such as answering phones and greeting clients.
• Represent professionally at community networking meetings.
• Attend weekly staff meetings.
