• Makes purposeful lesson plans with effective teaching strategies; maximizes time on task.
• Presents subject matter to maximize learning with real-world examples.
• Reviews student records to understand abilities and needs; maintain records.
• Strives to maximize educational achievement of each student.
• Uses varied modalities and differentiates instruction in lessons.
• Uses diagnostic assessment regularly; maintains student records.
• Assesses strengths/weaknesses; provides activities; generates progress reports.
• Refers students with suspected learning problems to support personnel; reviews work.
• Coordinates class field trips as required.
• Prepares students for state assessments.
• Keeps current in subject matter knowledge and learning theory; willing to grow.
