Job summary

Montville Township Public School District is seeking a Third Grade Teacher - Leave Replacement at Cedar Hill Elementary School for Oct 5, 2026 about November 30, 2026, with the possibility of extension.

The successful candidate will provide instruction and supervision for third-grade students, plan and deliver standards-based instruction, assess learning, maintain a positive classroom environment, and communicate with families and staff.

Qualifications

• Valid New Jersey instructional certification appropriate for the assignment, including the NJ K-6 (1001) endorsement.
• Knowledge of elementary curriculum, instructional practices, classroom management, assessment and student development.
• Ability to plan and deliver standards-based instruction for third-grade students.
• Ability to establish a positive, inclusive learning environment.
• Ability to work collaboratively with administrators, teachers, support staff, students and families.
• Strong communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Prior elementary teaching experience preferred.
• Criminal history background check and NJDOE employment requirements.
