Job summary

CCBC invites applications for part-time Adjunct Faculty to teach in the Single Step and ACCESS programs under CASE, serving adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Classes may be on-campus or off-site with partners in the greater Baltimore area. Salary commensurate with experience.

Instructors should be comfortable working independently and in team teaching environments, with some travel to off-campus locations. Classes are typically weekdays 9 am–4 pm.

Qualifications

• Two years full-time, or four years part-time experience working with people with developmental or other disabilities.
• High School Diploma required.
• Ability to work a flexible part-time schedule.
• Ability to teach a computer-assisted curriculum (preferred).
• Associate degree, Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and teaching lessons for students with disabilities functioning at different levels in the classroom.
• Classroom management of student behaviors.
• Completing paperwork – a syllabus for each class, attendance rosters, registration forms, student evaluations, and any other required paperwork.
• Coordinating and collaborating with the staff of client agencies.
