Job summary

Community Options, Inc. is hiring a part-time Employment Specialist to cover Cumberland and Salem counties in New Jersey. The role focuses on coaching individuals with developmental disabilities to build job-ready skills and assist with job placement at local worksites.

Starting pay is $20.00 per hour. Requirements include a bachelor's degree, two years of full-time experience supporting people with disabilities, a valid driver's license, and successful background checks.

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Two years’ full-time work experience in supporting people with disabilities.
• Valid driver's license with satisfactory driving record.
• Employment is contingent upon successful completion of background checks and related screenings.

Responsibilities

• Provide the necessary assistance for people with disabilities to be placed in competitive employment.
• Coach the person with disabilities to develop independent job skills.
• Work side-by-side with persons with disabilities at job sites.
• Reinforce essential skills, or teach new skills such as developing a resume, conducting a successful job interview, and completing a job application.
• Accurately complete all documentation.
• Additional tasks and responsibilities may be assigned.
• Employee must cooperate with the license and department staff in any inspection, inquiry, or investigation

Community Options, Inc. is a national non-profit agency providing services to individuals with disabilities in 12 states.

We are Now Hiring a Part-time Employment Specialist in to cover Cumberland and Salem counties , New Jersey to coach persons with developmental disabilities and prepare them for employment. The Employment Specialist will develop essential job skills for persons with disabilities and assist in job placement.

Minimum Requirements
