Opportunities for Positive Growth Inc (OPG) in Kokomo, Indiana is seeking a full-time Employment Specialist to help individuals identify career goals, locate competitive employment, and succeed in the workplace. The role includes on-site job coaching and direct support to clients.

You will build relationships with local employers, provide job tasks training, and guide participants toward greater independence while delivering compassionate, person-centered support.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Valid driver's license with a properly maintained vehicle and current auto insurance.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to CPR/First Aid and related safety training.
• Background checks and other agency screenings will apply.
• One year of experience supporting individuals with disabilities in community settings preferred.

About the Role

We're seeking a full-time Employment Specialist to help individuals identify career goals, find competitive employment, and succeed in the workplace.

What You'll Do

• Support individuals in identifying career interests and strengths
• Assist with job search, placement, and onboarding
• Teach job tasks and workplace skills
• Provide on-site job coaching and support
• Build relationships with employers
• Gradually fade supports as independence increases

Pay & Schedule

• $18.50 to $20.00/hour, based on experience
• Bonus potential up to $16,000 annually
• 35 hours/week
• Minimum 25 billable hours/week

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
• Valid driver's license with a properly maintained vehicle and current auto insurance
• MVR (Motor Vehicle Record)
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to walk, bend, squat, kneel, and use wrists, shoulders, and both hands as needed to perform CPR, first aid, and personal care/lifting techniques
• Ability to successfully complete and administer CPR and First Aid
• Proof of a negative TB screening required
• One year of experience supporting individuals with disabilities in community-integrated settings preferred
• Ability to pass required background checks and other agency screening requirements as applicable

Salary Information

$18.5 - $20Hourly Wage
