You will provide individualized, community-based employment services, assist with career exploration, resumes, applications, interview preparation, and employment readiness, and develop relationships with local employers. You will deliver job coaching, workplace training, and ongoing support, collaborate with families,

Competenze

• Four years of relevant experience in vocational rehabilitation, job placement, or related services.
• Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Associate's degree with two years of relevant experience or higher.
• Master's degree in a related field with six months of relevant experience.

Are you passionate about helping individuals with disabilities achieve meaningful employment and greater independence? MTC is seeking a dedicated, compassionate, and motivated Employment Specialist to provide individualized, community-based employment services.

In this role, you will help individuals explore career opportunities, develop job skills, secure employment, and maintain long-term success in the workplace.

• Assist individuals with career exploration, resumes, job applications, interview preparation, and employment readiness.
• Develop relationships with local employers to identify job opportunities and promote inclusive hiring.
• Provide individualized job coaching, workplace training, and ongoing employment support.
• Collaborate with individuals, families, schools, employers, Vocational Rehabilitation, APD, and community partners.
• Support individualized employment planning, job retention, and increased independence.
• Maintain accurate service documentation, monitor employment outcomes, and complete required reporting, billing, and training on a timely basis.
• Represent MTC professionally while promoting a respectful, person-centered, and collaborative environment.
• Other responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

Candidates must meet at least one of the following education and experience pathways:

• Option 1: Four years of relevant experience in vocational rehabilitation, job placement, job coaching, counseling, or related services supporting individuals with disabilities.
• Option 2: A bachelor's degree in a related field, such as rehabilitation, counseling, social work, psychology, education, human resources, business administration, or economics, plus one year of relevant experience.
• Option 3: An associate's degree, or a bachelor's or master's degree in an unrelated field, plus two years of relevant experience.
• Option 4: A master's degree in a related field plus six months of relevant experience.

Employees providing Supported Employment Services must hold a Supported Employment training certificate from a state- or nationally recognized program, consistent with applicable DVR requirements.

• Experience working with individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities is preferred.
• Experience with Vocational Rehabilitation, APD, schools, workforce agencies, or community rehabilitation providers is a plus.

Additional requirements:

• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and current vehicle registration and insurance.
• Ability to travel throughout Hillsborough County and surrounding areas.
• Strong communication, organizational, computer, documentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently in community settings and build positive relationships with individuals served, employers, and community partners.

Must pass a Level II background check/fingerprinting ( https://info.flclearinghouse.com ), drug screening, and FDOT/MVR check.
