Job summary

Shegerian & Associates, a premier plaintiff-side employment law firm in California, seeks driven associates eager for courtroom time from day one. You will own cases, argue motions, depose witnesses, and prepare for trial alongside top litigators.

From day one you will be immersed in meaningful trial work, with one-on-one mentorship from senior partners and opportunities to contribute to landmark rulings that shape California employment law.

Qualifications

• Active California Bar member with 1–7 years of litigation experience—employment law background preferred.
• Hungry to try cases and grow in a plaintiff-side firm.

Responsibilities

• Take full autonomy over cases from inception through trial
• Draft pleadings, discovery, motions, and trial briefs
• Take and defend depositions
• Appear in court for hearings and motion practice
• Communicate directly with clients and contribute meaningfully to case strategy
• Participate in mediations, arbitrations, and settlement negotiations
• Prepare for trial and gain second chair experience
• Contribute to emerging California employment case law
