Job summary

Jackson Lewis P.C. is seeking an Associate attorney for their San Francisco, CA office. The position requires a JD from an ABA-accredited law school and 4-6 years of relevant experience, preferably in employment law. Responsibilities include defending lawsuits, advising clients on legal issues, and representing clients in court.

The expected salary range for this role is between $222,500 and $242,500, with additional annual bonuses. Benefits include comprehensive insurance plans and a 401(k) Retirement Plan.

Qualifications

• 4-6 years of experience in employment law is strongly preferred.
• Current California Bar admission in good standing is required.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills are necessary.

Job description

This position is for an Associate attorney for the firm’s San Francisco, CA office.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Defend and litigate lawsuits involving a broad range of employment-related claims and agency charges
• Advise, counsel, and train employers on various employment and labor law issues
• Class Action/PAGA experience preferred but not required
• Represent employers in court or arbitration, before administrative agencies, and at mediations in employment matters, including class/collective actions and discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage and hour, contract, employment tort, and non-compete cases

Skills and Educational Requirements

• JD from an ABA accredited law school, with excellent academic credentials
• 4-6 years of experience, employment law background strongly preferred
• Current CA Bar admission in good standing
• Understanding of current agency (state and federal) procedures
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Attention to detail and commitment to excellence
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Strong organizational, time management, and project management skills
• Commitment to professionalism, collegiality, and teamwork

Compensation

For California, the expected salary range for this position is between $222,500 and $242,500. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law. This position is also eligible for annual bonuses.
