Job summary

Chimes International LTD in Baltimore, MD is seeking an Employment Coordinator for Liberty Club West to generate community employment leads, document and track opportunities, and help clients secure jobs in vocational services.

The role requires a high school diploma, flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays, and a willingness to assist with interviewing skills, resume prep, and on-site coaching as part of a supportive nonprofit team.

Qualifications

• Experience with individuals with intellectual disabilities is a plus.
• Flexible shift including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Ability to lift 20 lbs.
• Must have an acceptable driving record as determined by criteria established by the Agency insurance carrier.

Responsibilities

• Generate community employment leads through cold calls, networking and websites.
• Document all job and contact leads on appropriate forms.
• Meet established quotas, including community job placements.
• Develop and secure employment opportunities for people in various Vocational Services.
• Provide training to people prior to job searching on interviewing techniques and resumes.
• Accompany clients on job interviews.
• Complete job analysis to understand employer expectations.
• May submit contract bids for employment services.
• Educate clients and families about employment and Social Security benefits impact.
• Assist clients with job applications and related paperwork.
• Provide skill training and job coaching on employers' premises in the community.
• Maintain CESP and ACRE certifications.
• Provide ongoing job coaching support and follow-up.
• Complete data collection for each individual.
• Provide mobility training for assigned people.
• Represent the agency with employers and the public.
• Assume other duties as needed.

PRIMARY JOB FUNCTION(S):

• Responsible for generating community employment leads through cold calls, networking and web sites
• Documents all job and contact leads on appropriate forms
• Consistently meets established quotas, including but not limited to community job placements
• Job develops and secures employment opportunities for people in various Vocational Services
• Provides training to people prior to job searching on proper interviewing techniques, proper attire for interviewing and assists with resumes
• Accompanies clients on job interviews
• Completes job analysis to familiarize self with the employers’ expectations
• May submit contract bids for all areas of employment services
• Educates client and family regarding employment and the impact it may have on social security benefits being received
• Assists client in completing job application and any other related or necessary paperwork if needed
• Responsible for providing skill training and job coaching support for person(s) on employer’s premises in the community.
• Maintains CESP and ACRE certifications
• Responsible for ongoing and follow along job coaching support
• Completes data collection for each individual assigned
• Provides mobility training for assigned people
• Acts as the agency representative with employers and the public

REQUIREMENTS:

Education:

High School diploma or equivalent required

Experience:

Experience working with persons with intellectual disabilities a plus. Must be able to work a flexible shift including nights, weekends and holidays.

Ability to lift 20 lbs.

Must have an acceptable driving record as determined by criteria established by the Agency insurance carrier.
