Job summary

Chimes VA Brand is seeking a dedicated professional to provide job development, placement, and coaching services for individuals facing employment barriers in Staunton/Augusta/Waynesboro and surrounding counties. You will deliver career and life skills training and coordinate with referral sources to build employment pipelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; associate or bachelor's degree preferred.

Hourly Wage: $23.00, plus mileage-Full Time/Flexible Hours

Coverage Areas: Staunton/Augusta/Waynesboro, Rockingham, Page, Nelson, Albemarle counties

Provides individualized employment services for persons with disabilities and others with significant employment barriers. Supports job development, placement, training, coaching, and long-term employment success based on customer needs.

PRIMARY JOB FUNCTION(S):

• Provide job development, job placement, training, and job coaching services.
• Deliver career skills training, life skills training, and employment supports.
• Provide systematic instruction on work tasks with fading instructional assistance.
• Facilitate natural support relationships between the employer, co-workers, and the supported employee.
• Market services to referral sources and maintain referral pipelines.
• Support family members in maintaining the individual's employment goals.
• Collaborate with adult service agencies and community organizations.
• Represent customer needs to supervisors and co-workers through education and guidance.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Excellent attention to detail and follow-through.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Understanding of confidentiality requirements.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to sit up to four (4) hours at a time.
• Ability to lift to 25 pounds occasionally.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

• Experience with behavior change procedures or intervention programs.
• Experience in vocational rehabilitation, supported employment, or human services.

EDUCATION:

High school diploma required; associate or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.

EXPERIENCE:

Minimum two (2) years of employment services, case management, coaching, or related experience preferred.

NOTE:

At the discretion of the Personnel Officer, additional related experience and/or education may be substituted for the requirements specified above under Education and Experience.
