Job summary

PRIDE Industries is seeking an Employment Coach to provide tailored, individualized coaching for people with disabilities to help them access, succeed, and retain competitive employment within integrated work settings.

The role supports collaboration with service providers, maintains case documentation, and participates in program activities. Prior experience with disabilities is preferred, with a focus on building inclusive employment opportunities.

Qualifications

• Demonstrate intermediate computer skills including spreadsheets, word processing, databases, and presentations.
• Strong written and verbal communication, active listening, and effective presentation abilities.
• Demonstrate critical thinking to identify solutions and balance priorities.
• Basic math skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Experience working with adults with disabilities is preferred.

• Maintain case files and required paperwork and support program administration.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Employment Coach provides tailored and individualized job coaching for people with disabilities to ensure access, success, and retention within competitive integrated employment position(s).

TYPICAL DUTIES

• Coach and train the necessary skills to be successful in the workplace
• Coach and train with learning and performing the essential functions of job tasks
• Develop and maintain positive and collaborative relationships with service providers to communicate progress towards goal(s)
• Assist in maintaining case files and related paperwork as required by PRIDE Industries and supporting agencies
• Perform duties and special projects as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Intermediate computer skills including spreadsheets, word processing, database, and presentation software
• Ability to communicate effectively including listening, verbal, written, and presentation software
• Demonstrate ability to apply critical thinking to identify solutions to problems
• Demonstrate basic mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
• Ability to manage competing priorities and exercise flexibility
• Experience working with adults with disabilities preferred

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

High School Diploma or GED

CERTIFICATES REQUIRED

The following licenses or certificates may be required depending on local, state and/or contract requirements:

• CPR/First Aid
• Valid Driver's License

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Viewing computer screen/monitor
• Keyboarding
• Maneuvering to and around equipment
• Bending, kneeling, stooping, and reaching
• Moving or lifting boxes up to 25 pounds
• (For some positions) Transporting to various locations within customer site(s) as needed

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Work is performed in a hybrid environment, including an office environment, customer worksite, and community environments with limited privacy and some exposure to background noise. Clothing specific to the job site may be required.
