• Associates Degree in business/sales related field, or minimum 2-years comparable work experience.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
• Solid ability to prioritize and multitask.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and be innovative in prospecting approach.
• The ideal candidate must possess both the ability and the willingness to work independently and act on their independent judgment.
• The candidate should be technically proficient in computer research and database management.
• Demonstrate an understanding of building relationships, networking and community-based business development.

Responsibilities

• The Employer Relations Specialist will build and maintain sustainable and long-term relationships with local, regional and national employers to increase employment opportunities for all campus graduates.
• Develop and maintain community involvement to support successful company branding within the physical footprint of their campus.
• Attend weekly meetings with DCS and other members of the Career Services team to understand the weekly goals required to provide available graduates and upcoming graduates with employment opportunities.
• Through employer cold-calls, off-site employer meetings and prospecting, this position will identify the optimal number of job leads and job orders for graduate placement.
• Follow-up with employers after graduate interviews for feedback and hiring possibilities.
• The ERS will communicate with the Career Coach and/or the Director of Career Services daily concerning interview feedback.
• Document all employer meetings, job leads and job orders in CampusVue
• Work closely with Career Coaches to ensure opportunities are developed that are a match for available graduates and upcoming graduates.
• Deliver Daily Activity Report (DAR) to the Director of Career Services daily.
• Deliver Expense Report weekly for reimbursement
• Ability to prioritize and strategize for optimal outcomes.
