Denver School of Science and Technology, Inc. is seeking an Employee Relations Specialist to serve as the lead Human Capital partner for a portfolio of DSST schools and the home office in Denver, CO.

The role manages employee relations from intake to resolution, coaches leaders, and helps build a fair, supportive workplace aligned with our mission. The position emphasizes policy guidance, investigations, and data-driven support, with a focus on equitable decision making and staff well-being.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of HR experience, with at least 2 years in employee relations, case management, or compliance.
• Demonstrated experience coaching or advising managers on people issues.
• Strong relationship building skills and the ability to influence leaders without direct authority.
• Experience supporting employee relations work in a multi-site or complex organization.
• Familiarity with workplace investigations processes.
• Basic understanding of employment law principles (ADA, FMLA, EEO, Title VII).

Responsibilities

• Serve as the lead Human Capital partner for an assigned portfolio of DSST schools and home office.
• Manage employee relations from intake through resolution, including performance concerns and complaints.
• Coach school leaders to grow as people managers and support staff HR matters.
• Lead and support workplace investigations, including documentation and recommendations.
• Interpret HR policies to ensure consistent, equitable decision making.
