Homeland is seeking a Produce Clerk to greet customers, assist with purchases, and uphold high standards for fresh produce in a fast-paced grocery setting.

The role involves verifying pricing and expiration dates, recording cooler temperatures, and ensuring displays are full and seasonally arranged. Backroom prep, invoices, and PLU maintenance are also required to support efficient store operations.

Qualifications

• Basic Mathematics (Add, subtract, multiply, divide).
• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Prior experience with produce in a grocery setting.

Responsabilités

• Greet, assist, and ring out all customers politely.
• Maintain standards for perishables and stay up to date on safety procedures.
• Check pricing and expiration; maintain organizational standards in the department.
• Record cooler/freezer temperatures and maintenance.
• Ensure compliance with Health and Safety codes and knowledge of cleaning supplies.
• Verify and adjust display of products for full, high-contrast, rotated, seasonally themed displays.
• Prepare backroom for receipt of merchandise; verify invoices and check stock quality.
• Compute retail price changes; maintain PLU files and scale system; supervise labeling of items without UPC codes.
• Move damaged/unsalable products to backroom for credit; re-process for sale or price reductions.
