Homeland is seeking a friendly, customer-focused Food Clerk-Cashier for our Shawnee, OK store. This part-time, hourly role centers on greeting customers, processing purchases quickly with a POS system, maintaining clean checkout areas, handling coupons and payments accurately, and safeguarding store assets while providing great service.

You will bag items efficiently and support managers with daily tasks in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• Demonstrate strong customer service skills.
• Basic mathematics skills required.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Flexibility to perform miscellaneous tasks.

Responsibilities

• Greet, assist, and ring out all customers politely.
• Process customer purchases quickly and accurately by operating the cash register, scanner and scale.
• Clean register area by sweeping floors and maintaining check lanes, registers and scales.
• Prevent loss of money and merchandise by careful product handling and correct coupon processing.
• Ensure safety by following store rules and notifying a supervisor of hazards.
• Bag customer purchases quickly and correctly.
• Understand operation and safety requirements of POS equipment and intercom system.
• Perform miscellaneous tasks as assigned by supervisors or managers.
