Commercial Contracting Corporation (CCC) is seeking a Structural Welding & Fabrication Technician to produce high-quality steel components for industrial and commercial projects in Orion Township, MI. You will weld, interpret blueprints, and assemble fabricated parts in a fast-paced shop.

The role emphasizes safety, precision, and teamwork within an employee-owned environment, offering growth and development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of welding and fabrication experience.
• Experience performing MIG (GMAW) welding.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings.
• Knowledge of fabrication tools, shop equipment, and measuring instruments.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a production team.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• AWS Welding Certification (preferred).
• Experience with structural steel fabrication.
• Prior experience building custom equipment or machinery.

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG (GMAW) welding on structural steel and fabricated components.
• Interpret fabrication drawings, blueprints, and shop specifications.
• Prepare materials through measuring, marking, cutting, and fitting operations.
• Assemble steel components according to project requirements.
• Operate fabrication equipment and machinery safely and effectively.
• Inspect completed welds and fabricated assemblies to verify quality standards.
• Support production schedules while maintaining workmanship expectations.
• Collaborate with team members to improve efficiency and production outcomes.
