Assurance Manufacturing in Minnesota is seeking a Shear Set Up professional to join our employee-owned team in a modern facility. You will set up and operate a power shear to cut metal, manage inventory, and ensure accuracy of materials for production.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational training preferred.
• At least one year of shear set up experience required.
• Familiar with power shear operation and safety protocols.
• Able to operate hoist/crane and forklift safely.
• Read and interpret setup sheets, blueprints, and diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate power shear to cut metal sheets for production.
• Store materials neatly and manage inventory for quick access.
• Track inventory and issue materials to jobs, observing start dates.
• Verify material against tags and job cards to ensure accuracy.
• Rotate stock to meet customer cert requirements and avoid obsolescence.
• Maintain an organized shear area and proper material storage.
• Unload materials using overhead crane or forklift and inspect for quality.
• Identify safety or quality issues and report to Supervisor.
