Responsabilidades

• Support Continuous Improvement initiatives in the facility.
• Review blueprints or drawings to understand requirements.
• Set up machine and materials to be run.
• Maintain accurate counts of materials loaded, unloaded, or moved.
• Assist with run schedules based on orders.
• Perform dies changes and adjust machines as needed.
• Notify supervisor of needed items.
• Visually inspect parts and measure/weight as required.
• Attach appropriate paperwork to parts and documents.
• Band material with a bander.
• Assist other departments when needed.
• Maintain clean, orderly work area and adhere to safety policies.
• Attend to all other duties assigned by supervision.

Press Operator

Job Summary

Responsible for production needs as appropriate for assignment.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

• Responsible for actively supporting continuous improvement initiatives of the facility
• Review blueprints or drawings
• Set up machine and material to be run
• Keep accurate and precise counts on material loaded, unloaded, or moved
• Review orders and determine assist with determining run schedules
• Complete production logs
• Accurately complete dies changes and make appropriate adjustments to machines
• Notify Supervisor or Lead Person of needed items
• Visually inspect parts
• Set up Uni-tools on die plates
• Accurately measure or weight parts as required
• Attach appropriate paperwork to parts (tags, paperwork, etc)
• Band material with a manual or electric bander
• Assist other departments when needed
• Must adhere to all safety and environmental policies
• Maintain general housekeeping and orderly work area(s)
• Maintain regular, reliable and punctual attendance at the worksite for the duration of scheduled shifts, including mandatory overtime
• Understand and comply with all company policies, procedures, rules and standards
• Maintain professional, cooperative, respectful and ethical conduct when interacting with coworkers, customers, vendors and the public
• Meet established productivity, quality, accuracy and performance standards while completing assigned work in a timely manner
• Effectively and consistently support the company mission, vision and values
• Responsible for all other duties, procedures and instructions as required by the job function, or as assigned, to meet organizational needs

Qualifications

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or GED preferred

Working Conditions

This position primarily operates in a manufacturing environment where exposure to loud noises, machinery, and varying temperatures is common. Employees may also be exposed to dust, fumes, and other airborne particles. Personal protective equipment (PPE) will be provided and must be worn as required.

• Physical Requirements:
  • Regularly required to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, and climb during shift
  • Regularly required to talk and hear
  • Must be able to lift and carry at least 51 pounds
  • Ability to operate machinery, tools, and equipment as necessary
  • Visual and manual dexterity is required to inspect and handle products/materials
• Safety Requirements:
  • Employees are expected to comply with all safety policies/practices/guidelines and actively participate in maintaining a safe workplace
  • Participation in safety training and adherence to safety procedures (e.g. lockout/tagout) is required
• Additional Conditions:
  • Exposure to repetitive tasks and fast-paced production lines is common
  • May involve prolonged periods of standing and performing the same motion repeatedly
  • Ability to work in confined spaces and at heights when required
